Ice makers and the water path first
Sub-Zero Repair Tacoma fixes built-in Sub-Zero refrigeration, and most of the calls are about ice: an empty bin, hollow cubes, a valve that drips. Five checks below take ten minutes. If the ice is still wrong after them, call us.
Ten minutes, no tools
In this order. After any change, give the ice maker 24 hours before you judge it: that is how long Sub-Zero allows for the first cubes.
Look at the control panel. Depending on the model, a small ice-cube icon or the word ICE shows while the ice maker is on.
A filter icon on the panel means the cartridge is due. Overdue or half-seated, it chokes the fill. Switch the power off, pull the cartridge and seat it again.
Find the shut-off on the water line — under a nearby sink, in the next cabinet, or in the basement — and turn it fully open.
Look above the ice maker, where the tube enters the freezer wall. If ice seals it, the first remedy is a four-to-six-hour thaw with the freezer switched off.
A lifted shut-off arm, a bin sitting off level, or one cube wedged in the mechanism will each stop production on its own.

Built-in Sub-Zero freezer sections and freezer columns: frost that will not clear, compartments drifting warm, fans that rattle.
Sub-Zero wine storage and wine columns: one zone off its setpoint, glass fogging inside, a compressor that never rests.
